Craft Beer Comes to MCI

My 'six pack' of craft beer classes has been scheduled at the Miami Culinary Institute. The class is "Craft Beer with Beer Expert Larry Goeser". The classes will be on Thursdays 6 - 8 PM from January 12 through February 16. More details and class registration are on the class homepage.

Jupiter Brewfest Jan 27- 28

The sixth annual edition happens January 28th.This is the best beer festival in South Florida by far. The size is limited and the beer selection is great. On Friday night, the 27th, the Field of Beers will occur with 16 stations each with a beer / brewer and food / chef paired together. Limited to 375 people this one never disappoints. New Beer Places

Laser Wolf a new beer bar in Ft Lauderdale that serves real people real beer. It's a production!

Due South Brewing opening soon in Boynton Beach. They will be at the Jupiter Brewfest and opening shortly after.

The World of Beer has two locations opening in Kendall; Dadeland and Town & Country Mall. Both should be open by April.

Happy New Year to everyone. This year will be better than ever for craft beer. More and different events and many new beers. The year kicks off with the Jupiter festival mentioned above. Be sure to watch the Field of Beers video; it shows some of the fun at the event and I am in it near the start!

Good beer has come a long way, here in South Florida, and there is plenty left to do. Until there is a good beer bar in every neighborhood, my mission remains the same. Spread the word, educate, talk about and drink craft beer. The emphasis is now moving to craft beer and food events; pairing different styles of beer with foods that go well with them. These events are happening all over our area and are great fun. You can rely on this monthly "Beer Blast" to keep you informed.
