Beer Tasting at Cervezas South Miami Tuesday August 9 7:00 PM
With over 200 beers available Cervezas has thier monthly beer tasting on the first Tuesday of the month. Try up to 20 different brands of beer. Someone will be on hand to answer questions and have suggestions. Complementary appetizers between rounds. A mere $20 gets you in.

In 1000 AD, hops are used in brewing beer for the first time at the Brabant Cloister zum Wurzen. This led to the legend that Brabant King Gambrinus was the inventor of beer. He is still remembered for his love of beer. By the 1500's, hops gained widespread use as a preservative for beer, replacing bark and leaves that had been used until that time. Gruit was a term for a mixture of herbs used in brewing before hops became favored.
